Check out our top five items to take with you on a roadtrip with multiple kids, including an iPad holder and portable toilet.
- Portable “toddler” toilet – Skip the gas station bathrooms and handsy toddlers and get this instead. Don’t forget extra bags! Not going to lie, I’ve used this on a roadtrip too…
- Device holder for car – When we go on a roadtrip with kids, screentime rules go out the window. It makes it more fun for the kids and enjoyable for the adults. We usually wait until at least 2 hours into a trip, but sometimes… there’s just no point. With three kids in the middle row, this iPad holder makes it easy for all of them to see fairly. Works much better than the bungee cord contraption we used to hook up!
- AirPods – This is for the parents. Listen to what you want to listen to with wireless buds. You won’t regret it. Traveling with a partner? You can both connect to the same device with different sets of AirPods and enjoy the same podcast or explicit lyrics NSFK (not safe for kids ;)).
- Car window shades – if you don’t have your back windows tinted, these mesh covers offer full window coverage. They’re also great to be able to open windows while keeping the screen up.
- Backseat car organizer – Roadtrips with kids often end up with the middle row of our car ending up in a tornado of stuff… food, toys, wipes, etc… it still kinda does, but this organizer helps! Our big kids appreciate not having to dig through our reusable totes to find things.
